History:

It is Christmas eve. A holiday just like every year since a Hammerite
called brother Niklaus (Nol) presented a starving child with a golden
hammer, so it could survive the winter. Every year since then, Niklaus
appears in the city with a gift.

But what is a thief like Garrett up to on these holy days? Play and see!

Changes in version 1.2:
People's purses and an invisible golden plate are now visible. Missing
files were added from DromEd Deluxe (Rob Hicks) and Thief 1. Volumes of
some sounds have been reduced. Some sounds were compressed to make the
resulting zip file smaller. - See below for more details.

Important: Saved games from the original version may *not* work with
version 1.2!


Hints & other remarks:

- There are items in this mission which are not available!
- A secret Victrola lets you listen to the attempts of my brother to imitate
  Garrett's voice for the briefing movie.
- You will become enlightened when the holy water hits the ground
  (because there are no zombies). Water arrows remain unchanged.
- The sound of the bell and some other sounds have been altered in
  order to reduce the volume. The original french version may sound far
  too loud.
- Some missing textures (Hammer novice; gold plaque) and sounds (Hammer
  voices) have been added.
- Several people carry purses, but they are usually hard to pickpocket.
  You better blackjack your victims and steal their money afterwards.
- Sonia cannot be recognized, there's nothing special to her. She's one
  of three civilians who try to fight Garrett only with their fists. Your
  best chance is to blackjack all of these people and carry each one to
  the henchman, a shady guy waiting somewhere in a dark passage.
- If Mr. Shady guy has left the dark passage, Sonia has to be brought
  to him, not to the dark passage. Or maybe you could arrange
  a "meeting"...
- Once the objective to bring Sonia to the guild's henchman (on Expert
  only) ticks off, Sonia apparently vanishes. But she just becomes
  invisible, and if she is still conscious, she'll run around and yell for
  help, and may even block Garrett's path occasionally.
- The briefing movie has not been translated, but you should be able to
  understand what's going on anyway. Among other things, the Hammerite
  church is mentioned as a promising target for Garrett.
- The mission uses only "Quick Lighting", which does not look too well,
  but the translator's DromEd abilities are not good enough to change that.
